Kashiani
Upazila (gopalganj district) area 299.64 sq km, located in between 23°05'
and 23°19' north latitudes and in between 89°41' and 89°56' east longitudes. It
is bounded by boalmari upazila on the north, gopalganj sadar upazila
on the south, muksudpur and Gopalganj Sadar upazilas on the east, lohagara and alfadanga upazilas
on the west.

and others 40.

Thana was formed in 1936 and it was turned into an upazila in 1983.
Kashiani (Bengali: কাশিয়ানী) is an Upazila of Gopalganj
District in the Division of Dhaka, Bangladesh.[1]

area 299.64 km².

As of the 1991
Bangladesh census, Kashiani has a population of 205596. Males constitute 50.09%
of the population, and females 49.91%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is
101974. Kashiani has an average literacy rate of 39.7% (7+ years), and the
national average of 32.4% literate.[2]
